Everett doesn't get that cold. What it does is stay cool and damp from October into May, so the heat runs a lot of hours, and a small problem has all winter to turn into a big one.
Summers changed too. After the 2021 heat dome, plenty of people who'd never thought about AC started calling. And a lot of older houses here heat with baseboards and have no ducts at all, which is why ductless heat pumps have caught on.

How a service call goes
- You call or text. Tell us what it's doing. A photo of the thermostat or the label on the unit helps a lot.
- We come out. Usually the same day, or first thing the next morning if you call late.
- You get a price. We find the problem and tell you what the fix costs before we touch anything.
- We fix it. Most repairs happen on the first visit, because we carry the parts that fail most.
Questions we get a lot
How soon can you get here?
Most days, the same day. Call in the morning and it's very likely. In a cold snap or a heat wave, homes with no heat or no AC go first, especially if there's a baby or an older person in the house.
Is it worth fixing an old furnace?
Sometimes. If it's under about 15 years old and the repair is a few hundred dollars, fix it. If it's older and the repair is a big one, get a replacement price too. We'll give you both numbers and you decide.
Do heat pumps work when it's cold?
Newer ones do fine here. Most winter nights in Everett are in the 30s, and current models keep heating well below freezing. For the few really cold nights, there's backup heat built in.
Do you charge more after hours?
Yes, nights and weekends cost more than a weekday visit. We'll tell you the amount on the phone, before anyone drives out.
